    Heavy Chromex FQHH

Is that what does the trick? What do you--just keep it in a pocket, or grind it with mortar and pestle, then rub the powder on the leather? Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

It has already found me, but in our climate I won't be able to wear it until mid-November. I need another, lighter jacket to find me now. Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

A short rant from a new member

Greetings. I've found out that you had diagnosed this affliction as the TFL Effect, and that I am a textbook case. I've been weighing two options: I could flee into the wilderness, wearing a Members Only jacket as penance, or I could stick around The Fedora Lounge and order another shot of...

A short rant from a new member

I posted it as a reply to another post, but it was not relevant to the subject matter, so I'm re-posting it here for the edification of some and grim amusement of others: Dammit, man. I haven't even been hanging out here all that long, and already am going garmental--reading irrelevant posts...

    Removing Sherpa lining

That is an option. Any suggestions as to how to do it? Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

    Removing Sherpa lining

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try the custom route down the line, once time and knowledge of options clarify my vision of the best vest in the West. For now I bought the one in the pictures; it came closest to what I had in mind. It's worth fifteen bucks, plus shipping, to test the...

Lewis Leathers N. Jones Motoring Jacket

That is a fine jacket, and it does motor well with that sweet ride. However, the white pants and the face shrubbery make the model dude look like the Great Ratsby. Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Ah, all sweetness and light! It's beautiful. I can't help thinking what a challenge it would be to coordinate the rest of one's outfit with a jacket like that. Shirt, pants, hat, shoes--everything would have to be just right. A challenge, too, to keep that big grin off your face. :) Sent from...

Every picture tells a story, don't it? That's an impressive inventory they keep. What's that bike, a Suzuki TU250X? Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

    Removing Sherpa lining

It is in that range, although I'd hate to waste a good vest. I just don't need insulation, and I never liked that Sherpa fleece. It's hard to find a vest in good, thick, and brown leather that's not insulated and/or in the Western or the Orvis/LL Bean style. Sent from my LG-SP320 using Tapatalk

    Removing Sherpa lining

I've been looking for a leather vest for quite a while now. I've come across one in a style that I really like, at a great price, but it's lined with that white Sherpa stuff. I'm tempted to buy it and rip that lining out. Raw leather on the inside would be fine with me, but I don't know how that...
