It says, " Asepto Leather Insured. I remember looking up " Asepto" when I got the hat. They went out of business in the 1930's IIRC. -

My only cowboy hat. It's a Nutria. 1930's... possibly older. The sweat was replaced at some point . Nice hat in pretty good condition for it's age. -

Thanks , Richard. I think so too. I always liked the looks of the Strat with a thin ribbon but this adds a little something that works just as well. -

Mike, Thanks. It looked like a bluish gray color in the photos. They were pretty dark pics though. Should be here next week sometime!
