Yeah, I'm assuming as such too. I'm confident everything will be resolved. I don't have any actual questions per se, I just want confirmation that my requests re: materials and measurements have been noted for the order. I'm going to follow your advice and reach out across multiple platforms
Well I got a response this morning to my battery of questions about my order. Unfortunately, the response was a picture of blonde mouton fur, which was not relevant to anything I had sent. Oh boy.
it doesn't help that colorwise the pictures of the leather samples on the website are demonstrably not anything like what they actually seem to look like in real life
I finally placed my order yesterday and specified what I wanted in the little box in the shopping cart section. I've followed up on Whatsapp but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm not sweating it since I know they're busy etc. Unrelated, but does anyone know how thick the goatskin is on average?
I believe you told me what you know about the differences between conic and conic glazed, but I still have no idea what they are. Apparently the glazed is waxed or something?
My main complaint with Five Star is that earlier in the thread, I saw all these beautiful tan leather jackets that were made, and when I went to have one made myself, I was told that the tan steerhide was out of the rotation currently because of customers saying it was too stiff. I said stiff...
The fit and quality look dead on. Five Star should link here, I think this thread is the most successful unintentional marketing campaign I've ever seen
I see, thanks for the info. I desperately want a tan or natural jacket from five star in any leather, but unfortunately that's not in the cards now. So I'm leaning towards conic or reddish brown goat now
Aero grizzly again. I had this thing made last Spring, so this Winter is the first time I've been able to wear it in earnest. The cordovan horsehide is breaking in nicely if I do say so myself
Tripp NYC was or maybe still is an old punk clothing store/brand in the East Village. Used to have some extremely tight cigarette pants from there when I was a high school punk rocker
