Bit of a cheat since it's too warm to wear a jacket today (I actually have gym shorts on), but I wanted to show off my Aero grizzly I got yesterday. My first Aero, and I hold this forum and its members directly responsible for this purchase!
Thank you! Julie Leitch at Aero did a great job on it, definitely worth the money. It's lined in brown alpaca, I can already tell it's going to be a great cold weather jacket. My first Aero experience has definitely been positive.
Edit: the fit is dead-on too. Holly at Aero was so knowledgeable...
I remember watching that movie on cable when I was little with my older sister and being scared by it. Here's the brand new Aero, cordovan HH with dark brown mouton
Well you were absolutely right, it went thru customs without issue. My next question is how is DHL going to go about shaking me down for customs duties? It's at the local facility and still on track to be delivered tomorrow, and I haven't heard anything from them about it yet
My Aero shipped with DHL today and is allegedly going to be delivered to me in NYC on Friday, is that too good to be true? Can it really sail through customs that fast?
Got an email from Aero early this morning telling me that the cordovan HH grizzly I ordered back in January was done and ready to be shipped, so I'm excited for that. Won't get much use until next winter unfortunately since Spring has definitely sprung here, but I'll wear it around the house...
I'm hoping to receive my Aero grizzly soon, I believe we ordered around the same time. I'm on week ten of a possible 16 week wait, though definitely worth the wait for something that I'm planning on using for the rest of my life.
Huh, that's good to know. I wonder what happens to the crepe sole to cause that? I'm a dyed in the wool Clarks man and I always wear mine to complete destruction, luckily.
Got a new pair of Clarks Desert Treks today, used to have a pair in brown suede and they were like walking on air. Looking forward to breaking these fellas in this weekend!
For any recent Aero customers: I was informed today my jacket will go into production in a week. I know there are many variables at play for production time, but would anyone have a rough estimate of when I could expect it? I'm assuming maybe April
Any Aero customers in the US, is it true that you can request that they send your jacket via Parcelforce instead of DHL? I've heard that DHL incurs custom fees every time because they get some kind of kickback, but Parcelforce is a little more on the level.
After a week or so of hammering out details with Aero, my deposit for a brown wool grizzly in cordovan HH has been paid today. Probably won't get it until the spring, so I won't get much use out of it until after summer. Image per the Aero website, I think the cordovan will be very interesting...
Clarks Weavers. Just dusted these bad boys off (literally) after a year of being near-forgotten in the closet. I'm a die-hard Clarks man, but the pavement annihilates those crepe soles like nothing else.
