"Very skinny ribbon with the tie knot" is a western hat ribbon treatment, not really a fedora ribbon. Closest thing to that for fedoras or dress hats is the Stratoliner/Open Road style ribbon & bow treatment.

Art offers his Hitchhiker in Natural but it is a Nutria/Rabbit blend instead of beaver...that Natural is a different hue than pure beaver Natural.

Not storing it resting on the brim is for felt or straw cowboy or outback hats since the weight of the hat can flatten out the brim. Most fedoras can have the brim snapped up & rested on the brim plus a fedoras crown is not as stiff as a western & can't handle the weight.
