All in all Joel not a shabby looking hat. Looks to be a nice general wear hat for either dressier purposes or at least to keep the sun off of the ole' knoggin. Looks nice, enjoy.:eusa_clap

Very interesting hat. That does look better than the Greek fishermans variety. I may have to keep an eye out for one of those.
Now, I can picture you just growing the beard with no moustache, wearing a WWI navy peacoat smoking a long tavern pipe with that cap.;)

Yeah, that sweatband has seen better days, and the hat looks like it has been sat on dow about 40 miles of bad road, but it is going to look fantastic once it is refurbished. I see some great potential in that lid. I take it that, other than being crushed, the felt in in pretty good shape? Is...
Size 7 1/8, I just may be able to slide that onto my knoggin. Here I go again.;) It's a beauty of a hat that would be perfect for mt next trip to Disneyland.:eusa_clap
Cheers!

I love how everyone looked comfortable in their roll & costume. They look like they belonged.
It's a shame J.T. Walsh isn't with us any more. He always made a great villan.

Jeff Bridges had one very similar to it in Seabiscuit as well, along with Joseph Cotten in A Shadow of a Doubt. Both were worn with a navy blazer and light colored trousers. A great looking combination.

Your welcome Douglas.:eusa_clap One should never miss a good deal if it can be had. I bet it will stretch up to a nice fit too. Congratulations, I can't wait to see the before and after pics.;)
Cheers!

Huzzah!lol I'm glad to be the devi's advocate.;) I'm quite sure that it will turn out to be a mighty fine hat. They all have some possability to them as long as the felt is in god shape. Just be sure to keep the sweatband
for your records of such. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

I just love the style of this movie. The feeling mood & especially the clothing. I dig on the whole black & white to color transitions.
The look of the town is something that I enjoyed viewing, and just wished I could live in a town that looks like that.
Cheers!

Douglas,
I experienced the same thing with my Whippet. It may seem a tad small but Art can definately give it a good stretch to fit and replace the sweatband. You've seen the results in my Whippet thread. He will return all replaced parts for you to keep with the hat. If it were me I'd get it...
