Today I wore my latest riding jacket for the first time. It's a Knox Urbane Pro, which is an armoured, abrasion resistant base layer designed to be worn under whatever jacket you fancy, or even as a super airy jacket in its own right.
I wore it under my Johnson Motors Roustabout dry wax jacket...
I got this email too.
So tempted by some of their stuff.
Hopefully my eBay listings will bear fruit in time to take advantage of the Bronson discounts.
No jacket today. It's bloody boiling mate!
(Although I have three new jackets in the post to me as I write this; a denim trucker, a cowhide cafe racer and a UHMWPE armoured mesh jacket for riding)
I was just looking at a vintage cross zip on eBay that has a removable fleece/Borg/Sherpa/wev collar.
I love it and my brain had decided to buy it already, before I realised that I have just actually bought a cross zip that's perfect - and all I need to do is make/buy a collar to go on it.
Who...
No jacket today, it's been boiling hot for the Queen's Jubilee here in the UK. I've been at a garden party today and made a bit of an effort. But still wearing motorcycle boots and a Cone Mills denim shirt.
I have an olive waxed cotton Barbour International which is the perfect (for me) every-jacket-that-isn't-leather option.
I'm thinking now I might get a Five Star G8 in brown that I can layer under the Barbour for weather, or over an armoured Kevlar base layer for the bike, or over a t shirt for...
I feel this too. My personal ideal is to eventually get a jacket that can be a single item solution for all occasions. All weather, every day, and for the bike too.
It's just talking me an awful lot of tries to get there.
