Wear something windproof with a zip, at least. Something in waxed cotton like a Barbour or a Belstaff maybe. Or even something nice and traditionally styled but designed for riding...

After wearing it for for a walk with Mrs Barnabus at the weekend when it poured with rain and we got soaked, the sleeves on this seem to have gone berserk.

Excellent fit over what proved to be an unwisely-chosen thick sweater, as of course after a few miles at a decent pace in warming up conditions, I was too hot.
