German AF officer and Canadian Forces officer on U.S. airbase.
German AF NCO on another U.S. airbase, must be an exchange thing.
They look like rather nice jackets, if you don't mind grey. Here's a seller on e-Bay...
I came across a German company that makes police and military clothing and equipment named Beckumer Leder-Bekleidungswerk GmbH. The screenshot below is from their website. It's a different design, obviously, but similar.
I took another close look at those green leathers and the quality of the leather and construction appear to be excellent. I can't imagine what they would cost brand new in today's market where the price of leather and manufacturing is a lot more expensive than the 1980s!
^ Although I've never been to Germany, I've seen lots of photos etc, and I really liked the green West German police uniforms and the overall "civilian" vibe they gave off. The new blue or black gear makes them look like American SWAT team cops, which may not be a good image. I find the general...
Exactly right. I don't see the appeal at all. Thanks for the breath of fresh air.
Speaking generally, there's no upper limit on price. Better to spend the thousands of dollars instead on an auto repair training scheme and get a job fixing cars. Then after spending 8 hours 5 days a week in an...

That is actually a Winter Flying (Suit) jacket that could be attached to matching pants and worn in conjuction with a "poppy suit". Many call it the "WEP" jacket, but that is an Urban Legend created by...
Probably nobody knows, not even Burberry (and they don't care). The majority of companies are terrible at keeping records of their past products, if they even tracked their products in the first place. Rolls Royce is a notable exception, but that company doesn't even exist anymore as a...
Check out HPA's website: LINK. They've got several different deck jackets listed and have actual measurements for each (click on each jacket then the "Product Measurements" tab at the top of the jacket page).
Ted Williams, baseball player, in Korea. The third photo is a baseball card, which I imagine is the only baseball card depicting a player wearing flight gear!
Chinese flight jacket, looks fur lined:
Here's a photo from the Korean War; I realize it's not a flight jacket, but I'm wondering what sort of jacket this is?
