If You Could Meet The Original Owner

There was one day that I bought about 60 vintage ties at a local Salvation Army thrift store. Quite a few had tags on the back saying they were custom made for the owner (his name was sewn on the tag). I did a bit of research and found that was a millionaire who had recently died. He was related...

A lot of films have historical inaccuracies...ficticious stories surrounded by real events like 'Saving Private Ryan' or 'Pearl Harbor.' As to the battle of Thermopylae...that happened 2500 years ago so I'm sure the details may have been altered a bit over the centuries.

If You Could Meet The Original Owner

A lot of my vintage neckties came right out of the closets of original owners. Actually, quite a few were their widows. It made their day that someone could get so excited about those old ties. Sometimes I had to stay to have coffee and chat with them. Since they just gave the ties to me I sort...

Vintage clothing might lose you that job interview!!

I recently applied for a photographer position at a Washington DC art gallery. Should I get an interview I was planning to wear one of my vintage Salvador Dali ties. I don't think that would hurt...or would it???

Actually it took only about 60 days to film and about a year to do the rest (CGI, etc.). I get to the theater about twice a year and I want to make it worth it. 300 was meant to be seen on the big screen (like it or not). Sure, the acting wasn't the greatest, but the photo effects were...

    Bring back dating?

I have a problem of being too shy and women having to ask me out (which is rare, by the way). Another negative on me is that several years ago I decided to get rid of my automobile...I really don't need it...and I'm too proud to let a woman drive. Here's it's Saturday night and it's me and the...

I just got back from a matinee viewing (practically had the place to myself...I always pick third row center, too). It was pretty intense up that close to the screen...the metal on metal is still ringing in my ears. From watching a documentary on the actual battle a few nights ago I think the...

Heck, if the massive storm hadn't wiped out 200 of the Persian ships comin' round the bend then there'd have been a quick end to the 300....er, 1300.

I watched The History Channel's documentary on the battle last evening. I guess if it wasn't for that historical event there would be no democracy today (one of those hypothisis that if A didn't occur then B wouldn't happen then C wouldn't occur then D wouldn't happen............).

    Long hair on men?

When Shemp would get slapped by Mo his greasy hair would hang down to his chin.

    Long hair on men?

Not that I even considered growing my hair long, but my blonde hair is just too fine and is just not the type to be grown long without looking wierd. I want a 40s/50s look so I just keep it a 'normal' length. I think a guy with long hair can look sort of exotic if he does the whole package...

    Stars And Their Hobbies

I remember reading an article once about how stereo cameras were the hot and trendy things that 1940s movie stars were all playing with.

    Cash or debit card?

I only write one check a month...for my rent. I just got my first charge card two years ago and pretty much keep it locked away for emergencies. My debit card is my main source for payment, but I always carry cash. I really like spending $2 bills and dollar coins.
