On the 19th century and early 20th century photos it is more the time it took to capture an image...a smile is a hard thing to hold for more than 4 or 5 seconds.......some of the earliest photos took 10 seconds or more, depending on the light source.....:eek: On some of those it is even hard to... -

Agreed in MORE and BETTER pictures........One more thing that MAY very well hurt value, is the hat has had the brim re-flanged into a modern style and if any pencil roll or kettle upturn that was present (which it likely had) is gone now.....same with the crown re-blocking, which is an easier... -
