It is my understanding that the water will weaken the shellac & a good steaming will reactivate it. The alcohol method will actually remove the shellac by bonding to the shellac & taking it out as it evaporates. Water doesn't do that. -

I have 4 ArtLites & they all hold a dry crease just fine. I have never needed to use steam to crease or set a crease in any of them. -

Sure looks that way Nik. Not sure I'd have the Blue Smoke if the Dove existed when I placed my order. I'm REALLY interested in how that Legacy Dove will look & how nice a hand Art can get with it. He does such a nice job with the ArtLites!
