    The Stratoliner Society {VINTAGE}

    If it is a model of Strat that had no liner, absolutely nothing. A tip sticker in the top of the crown would make it more valuable if it was one of those. You could try to find a Royal Stetson liner from the same period but not sure that is going to do anything for you. Are you looking to...

    The Stratoliner Society {VINTAGE}

    I think somebody has put a 3X liner in a Royal Stetson Stratoliner. Strats came in Royal Stetson & Royal Deluxe but I have never seen or heard of a 3X plus the sweatband would have 3X instead of Royal Stetson as well. Nice snag at the estate sale regardless.

    What's the difference....

    The flange of the brim is about the main difference in a Strat & an OR. Your hat may have had model name on a sticker that is no longer attached. All vintage Strats had Statoliner marked on them. You could have a hat that had the sweat replaced too. There are lots of hats that were of the OR...

    Vintage Silhouettes Custom Hats - Official Affiliate Thread

    Like Sam says, the Nutria blend is a different weight than dress weight & designed for rugged, outdoor use. I have the Journeyman with raw edge brim. It can handle a much wider one than an ArtLite without an edge treatment. Art does a VERY fine underwelt to give the brim some substance, not a...

    Vintage Silhouettes Custom Hats - Official Affiliate Thread

    My VS ArtLite Playboy is 2 5/8" unbound but does have a decorative stitch around the edge. VS ArtLite Natural is 2 7/8" with underwelt. VS ArtLite Wanderers are 2 3/4" bound edge. I would say 2 5/8" is max brim width for ArtLite raw edge...JMHO
