No problems with the shoes Mondo and they are fitting fine now. Very comfortable. I had them out for a bicycle ride yesterday. Nice looking Botany tie. I like vintage wool ties a lot. Michael

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thanks Stefan. I did get one compliment on that outfit while I was out and about the town. And one on the shirt I guess. The cat afflicted panama is still looking good on you today. Thanks, Michael

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks barnabus. It's been too hot here for jacket wear here too. There were a couple of cool mornings where I could put on a jacket while I drank some coffee in the yard, but they are ended for now too. And after I took the photos today and posted them I changed into some jeans and boots and...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks HM. I was rather surprised I could get into a 38, particularly with this model as I gather they are a rather trim cut. A 40 would be better I think. Thanks Monitor. Good to hear I guessed the dating right. Ha ha. It does seem like the leather must wear well, because this one looks to...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Not much in the way of jacket weather around here lately, though I did have one on for an hour or two the other morning. But today it's cloudy and not too hot so I can wear this Schott Perfecto I found today. For a little while at least. DSCN1820crop by Michael A2012, on Flickr DSCN1819crop by...

My First Experience at a Tailor--Not good!

A photo of you wearing the pants might be informative. Big and taper are words that are open to a lot of interpretation in tailoring. If they needed a lot of resizing work above the crotch line that runs into a lot of time, and hence money, quickly. And gets into the area of iffier results...

I picked up this Hunter Haig Seersucker Suit yesterday. DSCN1753 crop by Michael A2012, on Flickr I'm guessing it dates to sometime during the period that Palm Beach owned that trademark. DSCN1754 crop by Michael A2012, on Flickr The jacket is fairly long and has a low button stance. It's a...

    Show off the sports coats.

Both nice jackets. I really like the double breast pockets and the tweed of the first one. I have one Alexandre tailored blazer and it is a quality made piece. The Sewell, I suspect, is an orphan suit coat. If it is related to the Sewell clothing I know it was made in Georgia. The Warren...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thanks Jeff. I was happy to find the suit. The jacket had been in the store for a week or two, but I was passing on it as it's one size large for me. But then yesterday the pants magically appeared on the hanger with the jacket, so then it was irresistible. I don't have any other full...
