Feedback on e-bay. Fair or not?

Some of these reasons are why ebay will only allow sellers to leave a buyer positive feedback. Not sure when that starts, or if it has started.

    Vintage handkerchiefs?

I believe that hankies from pre- 1950's came in boxes. The packaging on yours looks like the 60's to me.

    Improving your Looks for Free

I once had a Marine DI yell at me: "STOP LOOKING AT YOUR FEET! THEY'RE STILL THERE!" lol (I was at an "educator's workshop" on Parris Island and we were doing a mock drill. I was trying to make sure my feet were in the yellow footprints.)

    The Workplace...A Modern Tragedy?

I'm one of those. I worked at an office where the girls wore bathing suits with shorts and flip flops in the summer. It didn't make a favorable impression on visiting clients, and if it did, it wasn't the right kind. It gave an atmosphere of the beach, not a place of business. I never felt that...

    The Workplace...A Modern Tragedy?

I have had the same experiences, and I have worked in organizational development, and even that firm had "issues." Because of that I chose to work for myself. I'm sad to say my boss is really difficult*, but I have high expectations. :) I do not miss office politics. I do miss the gossip but...

    The Workplace...A Modern Tragedy?

YES. Impertinence is treated as "honesty." Grumpy is your charm.

    The stock market 1/22/08

Anyway, the point of the post was for stock market predictions that one day, and since it's over, I'm cool if this thread is closed.

I wasn't patting myself on the back for that. I was making it clear that I sometimes have a hard time making dispassionate remarks about things which I care a great deal. That was an admission of weakness.

    The stock market 1/22/08

I asked what people thought the stock market would do that day, and you replied: "It doesn't much matter what happens today or tomorrow or the next day. Over a period of many years these cycles balance each other out. Maintain a well diversified portfolio across distinct asset classes and let...

Nah. The media didn't make the emergency rate cut, nor did they fabricate the "missed earnings" of major corporations.

I, too, am against any sort of government bailout. What burns me up, and my savings and 401k, is the devaluation of the dollar and the inevitable increase in taxes as you mention. (I hope that isn't too political a statement.)

Thanks for saying this. It was what I was thinking but I couldn't respond in a civil manner.
