    Lead in Lipstick!

Actually, I didn't say it wasn't relevant, what I said was that the article was referencing a different report, and I thanked you for posting it.

    Lead in Lipstick!

I'm going to try and get a credit for mine! I use other Clinique products.

    Lead in Lipstick!

Right- and because it's absorbed and accumulates, a teeny tiny dose each time translates into dangerous levels over time.

    Lead in Lipstick!

    Lipstick, like candy, is ingested.

    Vintage(?) Glass Christmas Ornaments

I also love dime store 1940's-50's Christmas stuff which I assume is where people purchased the occupied Japan ornaments & figurines, too.

    Lead in Lipstick!

The problem is that lead absorption is cumulative, so even if there are "allowable amounts" or below, over time it can cause health problems. Also, "The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there is no safe level of lead exposure for children and has called for eliminating lead...

    Vintage(?) Glass Christmas Ornaments

Thanks! I hope you're right about my ornaments being old! I would hate to see them new in a box at Tar-jey. I see a lot of Christmas things at the sales I attend, but mostly newer QVC-ish type stuff. When will you hang your wreath? :)

Is the Lounge getting a bit.... slooooooow?

You'd think your co-workers would get that they are supposed to look at you with hints of disapproval! Altruism, where is it when you need it?

Is the Lounge getting a bit.... slooooooow?

I have a serious issue. I keep eating junk food and receive no error messages in the process. No timeouts, nothing. Awful.

    Vintage(?) Glass Christmas Ornaments

One other Christmas item to ask any possible experts: Do you have any idea what the things on the back of the stand-up Santa are about? I'm wondering if it was once attached to something. Maybe it was the front of a plastic candy container?

    Vintage(?) Glass Christmas Ornaments

Does anyone know how to date glass ornaments? I bought these today from an estate that had both old and new Christmas ornaments mixed together in a box. I was thinking these might be 1950's, but I'm not sure!

In the Annals of Awfulness . . .

OK, the Star Wars one is outrageously atrocious and highly entertaining. But the first one? Yeah, the kid can't sing, and no, I wouldn't want to sit through that, clearly a voice that only a mother could love, but it sounds like a (very) little kid. Now, if that was an audition for American...

    The Cosby Show

That show is brilliant and I watch the reruns (plus I watched it the first time around). I do have one complaint- the 80's sweaters. Hard on my eyes. :)
