It's only -5C today, which isn't too bad, but here's the snow situation in my sideyard as of approx 1:00 PM today (click for large pic). It's still coming down as of dinner time, and is expected to keep up all night.
For sale one USAF A-2 leather flyer's jacket, size 40L, dark brown goatskin. This jacket was made in the USA (probably by Taylors) and sold by Dakota Outerwear. This made to mil spec and is a modern-fit A-2. Condition is used but only lightly worn, about 15 times, overall excellent. The shell is...
My guess is not. I'm no expert, but the change pocket on Warhol's jacket doesn't match the shape of vintage Schott jackets I've seen in photos, quite different in fact.
I'm thinking stained + age?
Great pics, everyone. I'm intrigued by the full-auto 1911 and I particularly like John Candy's police jacket.

For sale two Filson bush (safari) jackets, one green, one tan. Both are the older style #53 which has the box pleat on the back and bellows pockets on the skirts (later models had a bi-swing back and patch pockets). These are used and worn but are both very wearable and look the stuff, like old...
That's great, glad you like them. I really like nomex jackets, better than nylon to me, and up here in Canada you never see nomex. I think Valley made the best quality ones, based on the various brands I've seen. It's hard to say why exactly, but when you've got a bunch lying there on the bed...
Just like with USAF nylon jackets, no public records were kept on how many were made or by who, or when, etc. The further back you go in time, the fuzzier everything gets, and the number of things in sharp focus shrinks rapidly.
Good fit on that last one, I like the hard herringbone wool. I have a coat made from a very similar cloth and it's tough although not too warm.
I also like your black jacket with red shirt, blue tie, and grey pants. It's a nice look and not something one sees these days.
