Same hat, different music. Great bluegrass from Joy Kills Sorrow at the Settlers Fest in North Olmsted. Some of the more rugged lookin' fellas started their own jam session.

    The Resistol Roundup

I didn't plan on buying it, but how often do you see a 7 7/8? This thing could keep my ears warm in the winter. The felt is very lush and pliable and it's got a great Cav edge. I flipped these images in photobucket, and they're properly rotated there, so I don't know why they display like this.

It's certainly not very ORish, but it's quite nice. I found the largest size hat I've ever encountered. More in the Resistol thread.

While it's really soft, the nap is quite short. I don't think it's anything more than a standard finish.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Today, we checked out the Ingenuity festival in Cleveland. It's sort of an artsy/sciency fair. Really, it's an excuse for a million bands to play in one of the coolest venues around - the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Bridge, which was once where the streetcars ran, and which is closed...

These are off. AFAIK, there were no foil tags (at least, American made ones) from the early 40s onward. Foil was earlier, and was not the only style of tag. While size tag is one indication, it's almost always a mistake to rely on one dating tool. Liner crest, sweat crest, size tag and, to a...

It's got a logo stamped in the crown, so I doubt it.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Thanks. If you've got the magic to turn a 7 1/8 into a 7 1/2, I might soon have a real budget problem.

Thanks. The milan brim, despite what the sticker says, comes in short of two inches. Normally, I would have left the hat and its small brim behind, but it feels so nice and it fits me perfectly. The brim on the BB is 2 1/4, also a bit shorter than I'm used to, but the really wide cav edge seems...
