I haven't seen anyone turn a homburg into a fedora without pretty terrible looking results. I'm sure a hatter can do it, but everyone else just posts a bent-up homburg/ fedora with bad edge binding. Apparently, it takes more than steam.
Yep, I've always thought that's about as high-roller as it gets. "Yes, my hat has a cav edge, and yes, I've covered it with a binding, and, yes, I have my money pressed."
