    I have two older LW jackets and they are indeed teacore, or more precisely the hides were not tumble dyed long enough to achieve 100% dye penetration. It's not like a "teacore" where a thin top coat of black is applied to a lighter hide, it's just that the dye didn't penetrate to the central 1/3...

    I agree that i would not call any of the above a "blouson", to me a blouson has that classic A-2 muffin top look... Have you considered the Lewis Leathers Dominator or Corsair, they seem to also fit the bil. Out of the three you have selected my vote goes for the Highway star if it works out...

    Seeing the floor pics it looked really square and boxy, but i think overall it's a pretty good fit, it looks good, the leather looks great. I like the length too, but i like my jackets short. You did good!

    The side straps should be there to fine tune the taper, not create it. You can't use straps to make up for 2" of exces leather, it just doesn't work that way.

    22" bottom hem on a size 38 is madness, no wonder it looks like a tent! I am a size 42 chest and 33 waist and would aim for 22.5-23.5" chest and 19.5-20.5" bottom hem measured like you did.
