Any excuse....
Thes are my cycling plusses and I love them to bits! They come out several times a year on old bike runs.
This suit was bought at a cycle jumble but I don't think it is cycling suit... no re-enforcing patch on the seat. Had it a few years now and still not found an...
OK Speedster, just give us a shout if you want me to put them to one side for you. I've had these boots for over 5 years and done nothing with them, so another month or two makes no difference to me!
Great looking jeans!
I've recently dipped my toe in the water of vintage style denin and got a second hand pair of these. It took me a while to get used to wearing loose jeans, but they are really growing on me! One problem with them though, how do you keep the buckle done up at the back...
I got this book after you mentioned it a while back BT. What a book, I haven't been able to put it down! :eusa_clap
So many great photos, a perfect snapshot of an era
Cheers fella ;)
WOW!
I've not been on this thread for months, some great homes on here :eusa_clap
I popped in because someone sent me this little link and I thought some of you may be interested...
It's a full on 'Normandy clip'! A leftover from when I used to do a lot more '39/'45 living history. Old habits die hard...
Sorry, :offtopic:
Cheers Baron;)
You're dead right about the trousers, they should be hoicked up an inch or two really (doesn't help my hand is in the pocket...) I'll tighten the braces up next time:)
It was the end of the evening rather than the start, I'm afraid I was a little rough around the egdes...
My favourite suit..
Been meaning to post a photo up on here for ages, but I only wear a suit a few times a year, and never seem to get around getting the camera out
My mate Dickie found this suit from a junk/antique shop in Pompey nearly ten years ago now. He would have kept it...
My mistake Paddy, I copied the whole of the blurb over from the Miller website, and didn't delete all the sizes it was available in!
It is non adjustable, and a 6 7/8" (About a 55 in cm, so pretty small.)
Haven't checked in on this thread for a while, great to see it's still getting interesting posts:eusa_clap
I've been following L'Eroica since I first heard about it two years ago, it sounds fantastic! Not for the faint hearted though, especially the longer routes... One day I'll pull my...
Cycling films...
Watched Belleville Rendezvous a couple of weeks ago, very well observed animation :eusa_clap
Got me itching to watch 'A Sunday in Hell' again now!

I found mine at Ripley cycle jumble about 5 years ago now, for under a tenner. David had his especially made at considerable expence, and this was their first time out! They look great though, very well made compared to my vintage pair. Although mine are sturdy, they are very much built to a...
The Veteren Cycle Club is one of several vintage bicycle clubs in the UK. My local group is the Hampshire Lightweight Section, who do one or more rides a month, usually about 30ish miles. A lot of members are a fair bit older than me, and usually ride the bikes the hankered after in their youth...

Decided to bid on this, despite the very brief description and no size. Worth a shot for $5, and only $6 to post to the UK. Turned up the other day and I'm chuffed to bits with it!
Apologies for the bad self portraits:eusa_doh:
I love the colour and weave of...
Go and talk motorcycles somewhere else!
Only kidding! My wife has a BSA M20 sitting under my bicycle rack in the garage ;)
Salv, be interested to see your Coppi copy, sounds spot on!
