Open Crown Stetsons: A Call (Plea) to Retailers!!

Well, I hate to say it, but mine tapered a bit after a damp evening dog walk. The brim tightened up a bit too and looks...flangier? Haha, more swoop in the brim is what I mean. It's not bad tapering, but it sure did tighten up a bit. Oddly enough, I don't mind too much, because in a way it...

    Panama Hat Thread

You can get a Panama for $60. Whether or not it fits what you have in your head with regards to "tight weave" and having "good" quality is a whole other matter. I would recommend Panama Bob/Panamas.biz for a lower cost hat.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I'd hold onto it, those takes on the Gay Prince style are hard to come by, as are felted bands on modern hats. Plus, it looks good on you!

Best way to carry a fedora with you while cycling with a helmet on your head?

Call Bencraft hats in Brooklyn, ask for one of their plastic hat cans. For some reason, they don't advertise them on the internet, but they make a nice travel hat can which can accommodate most fedoras.

    Did I ruin my hat?

A better quality hat wouldn't have tapered like that....or it would have taken a lot more steam to do so. The Indiana Jones hat folks theorize that the Christy's hats are dry blocked, making them especially susceptible to moisture.
