Nice start to a Friday, folks!
Harv, I'm envious of the vintage whippet, but not at the $350 price tag I've seen on eBay over the last year or so!
I'm going buckaroo hatters today.

Yeah, no kidding! The prices for vintage hats on eBay are just crazy. I like those old hats but I can't pay out that kind of money.

If TJ had a bigger head I'd be glad to help him out with those silver bellies.;)

I definitely have a few. I saw a Playboy once that I was going to try for but the color description said Silverbelly. I didn't even try for it after I read that. Besides, the price shot way up later in the bidding and I didn't see taking out a second mortgage on my house to buy the thing. ;) In fact, the prices are so outrageous and out of reach for me on eBay that I've just given up trying to buy anything else. :(

Looks good, Harv - been a while since I wore my Campdraft.

It's a beautiful start to summer in New Hampshire. Out with the dogs wearing my favorite hiking hat - continuing the Akubra theme, Tablelands

Thanks, NewJack! I'm digging that Panama! Is it a cuenca?
Dogman, that's great! Looks like your ole lady is also enjoying her ride in the ole pickup.
David-- a very wide brim, but looks absolutely perfectly proportioned with that crease. As usual, love the pug.
Harv, nice CD!
Ingineer, I like the Sunbodies, but sometimes they feel heavy on the noggin. I have found Atwood palms to be a bit lighter and more comfortable. Do you ever have that issue?

Hey Jeff - thanks for the comment. In this case, I had the pug already (from a bloke in Singapore who sells them on eBay) and was looking for a hat to go with it. Several people here suggested the Tablelands and it turned out to be a good choice.

Now the picture of today's hat:
This "silver dollar" Stagecoach. This color is really nice (it's kind of dark silver) and I think you all call this crease Canadian.
Don't know if I would remove this hatband and replace it with a wide black ribbon.

Joao, that second photo almost looks like you have that hat on backwards. All the brim curl appears to be at the rear. Frank

DOGMAN, the Resistol conversion looks great. Very nicely done.

NewJack, glad to see you're enjoying the straw.

Joao, nice Silver Dollar Stagecoach. I would love to get my hands on that and convert it to a fedora! ;)

Harv, love the color on your CD!

That looks a wide brim for me.

Resistol conversion.Took the old pick up out for a cruise on this partly sunny day.
It looks nice but I would love to have more brim...

Stevie Wonder's early album title was spot on..."Hotter than July." Any excuse to sport a straw! Especially to a wine tour!
Wine tours... I had a wine... tour... some weeks ago. Your straw looks nice.

Not sure what are you saying. Maybe it's the photo angle? The hat is not backwards.

No you wouldn't. You would feel badly trimming this one and for that decide to give it to me untouched

------

For today another Stagecoach. Sorry for the bad picture as it was taken at sundown near Lisbon airport.

It's always a treat to come back to this thread. Some fine looking hats, gents.
We are at the coast this weekend, at a vintage festival called: "Shake & Stir.
You can have priviledge parking and price reduction if you arrive in a classic car.
I must remember, a bulging wallet is not only unsightly, it's a security risk too.
