That is a US made 30's stamp.....so before licensing.....would have been imported! Great find!

Cameras, lighting as well as photo reproduction can make the same thing look different each time......CLOSELY examine the details....this IS the same era liner as yours...... if anything looking at your liner it was not printed as well....yours is more granular..... as there is some loss of...
Yep, This is an awesome find....only it was found by fellow lounger Telemaster who got it overseas AND was in shock it was too big for him! So we made a deal! He has helped me locate a couple of good hats!

January 1941, "the Passing Straws", Frank Parker a pub keeper in Kennington England, has changed straw hats every New Years for the past 20 years......And the war has not thrown him off his stride! Here he is relegating the "Benny" of 1940 to the shelf above his bar with the chapeaux of yesteryear!
Besides coming with new hats I have purchased extra from the outlets and retailers (who tend to throw them away). I have also kind of made my own from lightweight acid free/pvc free plastic sheeting/large bags which can be purchased though Hobby Lobby. I cut up the bags for use....works fine.

Bob is right, cleaning will not touch it......in fact it can actually make it more noticable.
AND hat condoms are a good idea when boxing a hat too! Helps protect the hat from the effects of tha acids in the box itself.......

Awesome hat!! Discoloration is likely from the sweat of a hat stacked on it........oil, dye and acids from the leather (not to mention the human oils and acids we add to the sweat when wearing a hat) will do all manner of interesting things when exposed to a hats felt.
