Yep, blackmask it is a little lighter than I thought it would be but I think it looks pretty cool. I was able to salvage the vintage ribbon and clean/dye it to it's original glory so this ribbon may not last.
I am hesitant to post my new ribbon on the Borso because I know it is not everyone's cup of tea but I was playing around with some darker red ribbon and thought this would look pretty cool, but I am very proud of the hard work I put into it so here it is.

I found that out!!! :) but as I said it is practice that will be valuable down the road that is why I did not buy super-expensive vintage ribbon...just using stuff I bought at a fabric store.
Been workin on applying some ribbon.....man that is much harder than I imagined! VERY frustrated. Using some modern ribbon right now and glad I did because I have gone through a lot of ribbon lol
OK my FIRST attempt at repairing a sweatband is complete. I really wanted to keep the original with this Boroso....now I know this may not be a work of art compared to others but it works! It is very gratifying that I did this correctly and the sweat is fully functional. Now.....to wait for some...
