Not all Shinki smells the same. IMO
My RMC has this very strong cedary/flowery smell that still remains after a few years.
My Freewheelers Shinki had a faint woody smell that disappeard quickly.
My Diamond Dave Shinki never really smelled of anything special, just a faint leather smell.
That's right around when i joined, which is definitely within the "will lauder/ storse" era.
I would be ready to bet your jacket is a steer jacket with a HH label.
Nice in a way, it comes from an interresting era of Aero.
The fact that they used a prong buckle but cut off the prong rather than a prong less buckle is pretty low budget/cheap looking...
I also doubt these buckles would hold their position without the prongs.
That would annoy me:
Exactly my point.
For all we know BK could just be doing what @ton312 did but on a much larger scale and using brand exclusive hardwear and leather.
Someone orders, they make an order sheet similar to Tony's one but using their specific sizing and patterns, place an order in Pakistan, receive...
Not necessarily, they could be making BK jackets with leather exclusive to BK, just like Vanson has Horween that is exclusive to Left field.
Why not? If people have to wait longer your product is more exclusive.
Look at GW!
I'm not saying i am right and you are wrong, just that we don't know...
Can't help but notice that the whole "heritage line" process is exactly the same as what you guys have been doing with 5 stars...
Send a pic, they make a jacket.

I have had at least 5 jackets that i bought, had delivered and signed for, yet the tracking was never updated and remained stuck on "on it's way to destination" forever.
Had i been a scammer i could have filed a complaint and gotten my money back even though i signed for the jacket myself.
It...
I just noticed something:
I have heard a lot of rumours saying that BK jackets are actually made in Pakistan, not Greece.
I wonder if this is the proof?
Or did 5 star just see a BK jacket online and decided to perfectly copy that label?
They both look to be printed on the same textured...
The best thing you can do to break in a jacket is to get it wet.
If it rains when i am home i like to put on a leather jacket and go for a walk just to get it wet, I will then wear it untill it is dry. It really speeds things up, gets the grain to pop out, and mould it to you.
If you hang on...
Thank you, i originally did that so i would be able to have acces to these pics and measurements from anywhere in the world, it has been very helpful to me, and i am glad to hear it is helping others.
I have to figure out a lighting setup that will be consistant, and figure out what specific...
Just FYI, i have worn it up to 10-12c (50F ish) and i was still not overheating.
Not sure how often you would get to wear it in Florida, definitely more than a B-3
Photo wise, i have just invested in one of these, it's a game changer! Once i have figured out a method i am 100% happy with i am...
So, here is one of my latest eBay LW scores, a new and unworn B-2 flight jacket.
It's a jacket i have wanted for a while but i couldn't bring myself to spend new money on a jacket that would not see much use. I was lucky and stumbled upon a 42L one in the UK.
It is a very interresting jacket...
