Mike, I am a dead on 24". Right out of the box, I can put it on but could not wear it for any length of time = too snug. I'd have to put my band block in it to put it back to my size. I call it the Akubra Wanderer....customized Moonstone Fed4 = bound edge by Falcon Park, mid-ribbon by CleanaHat... I was going to create a Moonstone Campdraft but went with the mid-ribbon instead of the thin ribbon & they came out with a Moonstone Heritage Campdraft Deluxe... Same hat but... -

The wind chord should have a loop on the button like the honda on a lasso. You pull the main string back thru it to make your loop which stretches over the crown & then tightens around the base of the crown by sliding the button. If you don't have the loop then I gots nothing for you... -

Push the crease out of the crown so it is in open crown state. Put something straight & level across the brim with the hat upside down. Insert a ruler in dead center of the crown & see where this straight edge hits the ruler. -

Anybody know how light-color fur-felt hats are made?
I talked with Art about the difference in my Natural Beaver ArtLite & my Blue Smoke Beaver ArtLite. The Blue Smoke is lighter because it is made with bleached fur then dyed to get the lighter colors. Darker colors are dyed natural beaver. The bleaching does "lighten" up the bodies. -
