In Maine there was a vacation spot/restaurant called The Cascades, and it had been around for a very long time. It was sold and demolished to build something New and Current, I don't know what, but it's been a vacant lot since the mid 2000's.
Sears only exists in name but the Sears of 25 plus years ago is long gone, as others have commented. The one near me is terrible. In the summer they barely have an air conditioning (and the temp is controlled out of state) so that I had to leave it was so hot and muggy in there. It's dirty...
I don't think eating s'mores under starlight, scary stories told by a camp fire, friendship, team-building, character development and cool uniforms will ever go out of style.
I'm so old-fashioned that when I read the headline Dishwashers harbour killer bugs I thought they tested the hands of those who wash by hand and that perhaps I, a dishwasher, was a carrier of murderous insects as a result!
Dishwashers harbour 'killer bugs'
For many householders, it is most sparkling area of the kitchen. But the inside of people's dishwashers could be harbouring potentially lethal bugs, according to scientists...
People will always judge you no matter what, and to try to avoid that will necessarily limit your authenticity and spontaneity since consistency isn't a human trait, nor does anyone lay claim to THE guide on what constitutes perfection.
Be comfortable in your own skin first. What others think...

When I was in summer camp as a kid, the swimming instructor walked up to me and started talking very slowly and LOUDLY, using his hands, asking me DO YOU WANT *does the breast stroke in the air* TO GO SWIMMING? I looked at him, confused. I didn't understand why he singled me out to yell at me...
The real world is filled with nice people doing compassionate things for one another alongside others who are doing nefarious and destructive acts. One isn't more real than the other.
THANK YOU for starting this thread! YES! I, too, am trying to rid myself of improper and excessive use of "like" and "you know." I recently was at a legal proceeding and it was transcribed. There in the transcript: "Is this, like..."
Seriously, I am working hard on this. Thanks for...
Will you wear a bikini to the beach or poolside this year? (Or to mow your lawn? I had a neighbor that used to do that!) Or do you prefer a more modest and vintage approach to swimsuits? Do you think that women over a certain age should start to cover up more and if so, what age is that?
