Finally getting some rain here in Iowa after almost 2 months without rain.
Good chance to give some rain-inspired break in to the HD Cycle King by Vanson. This X150 is going to take quite a while to get properly broken in.
Apologies in advance for poor lighting/dark/less than fully sharp...
That is amazing!!! Makes me almost cry that I gave up my Cordovan Ridley.
The Natural has really developed in a marvelous way.
Perhaps next year -- one can only hope.
That's incredible there! What a journey you have been on to get this coat, however I trust it's been worth it.
Your smile in the photos tells the whole story! Nicely done on a coat style we do not often see around here.
Best of luck as well to you and your band. Neat you are persuing this...
I have now laced these and tried them on. Only on carpet - still 0% worn or broken in. Tags still attached.
Will update photos.
They fit excellent. Reason for sale is I just do not like not having pull-loops. If this does not bother you, get a deal here.
$425 shipped in CONUS PayPal F&F....
^^ Nice, I did the Nick's Boot try on process back last summer (2020) and actually found the Try-on pair of boots to be much too tight! There were stamped 11 A's!! I could barely (just barely) get them on, hardly could lace them, and well, I called a friend to come help me take them off. This...
Yes, as others have said, I would leave it alone. Very very nice Half-belt there. Wear & enjoy it! :)
What leather is it made of? It's nice & thick but has a drape to it already.
Very Cool Terry! Probably not good to wear through Airport security, but indeed quite the tastefully modified piece there. Hope I can come see it sometime.
Here is one I have never seen - likely has customer added elements to it.
Schott Black Leather A2 (48) with "studed" collar...and a pretty high price:

Vanson Comet - size 36 for $200 BIN in what looks to be nice shape, old school Competiton weight leather too.
Do note the back length:

Fantastic find there Mendel!! So glad this was able to make its way to you. Neat also that Marc is so close by and you guys obviously share a similar passion for leathers. Anyone who saw you both with your D-pockets on must have noticed.
I hope you get to wear it in good health and enjoy...
^^ This very well describes my impressions too.
It's likely in a year or so another pair of MR Lou's will be ordered via Baker's.
Meanwhile, the Lofgrens just keep creeping wider & wider with use, so they may be up for sale quite soon.
So this is a post for fun.
This question is asked all the time -- how do I break this thing in.
Please understand the break-in process for Leather is different from Cotton Duck material.
Which is still different from waxed cotton.
I would not suggest (all) of this for a new horse or...
Cool - the one I am looking at (and being rather silly about the whole thing, really) has a serial # of 53393**07 so not too far after yours was produced, it seems.
If I do go for it, it will be memorable.... :)
Thread revival! It's been on my mind to ask this, but thought I would try again here.
I should probably just register my Vanson's, that would likely tell the true age

Having trouble finding the serial # for the HD-model
