Brown Felt with Matching ribbon
1 7/8"...
Here is a great example - I just bought this hat last night. Its an older Mallory panama (1823 badge) and would likely have fetched way more than the BIN, especially with that fine weave but that's what the seller set the BIN at. If they aren't willing to take the time and research what their...
The ribbon is original and is frayed on both ends. Re-order is a 6 7/8 but I don't have any photos of it. Not really my style of hat but an interesting experiment in color combination (Orange Copper and Navy) from the early days.
Looks like the exact same low crown "comfort" model I sold to John Penman last year only his was in much better shape. If I remember correctly the sweatband is almost 2.5" wide! Definitely an oldie :)
Glad ya like em! The closest felt that thin and pliable may have been on your Austral.
I think that after I soaked the Campbell and blew-dry it for a few min, the sweatband may have returned to its original size. Out of the box, it came down over my eye brows :eeek: (I'm right at 21 7/8")
Alan, you wear those formal hats very well. That makes a C&K Derby and Top Hat for you. If only you had Josh's Homburg the C&K formal trio would be complete ;)
Kinda like when selling something in the classifieds - everyone chimes in to say "Nice! But not my size" - I know its nice that's why I bought it and why I'm selling it HERE. Then it ends up going for...what was it, Scotrace, $64?
