Made by John C Yeager of Philadelphia in the 1840's/50's. In 1839, John and his brother were manufacturing hats at 155 N 3rd St with a rear entrance at 404 N 3rd. By 1844 they are using the 163 N 3rd St address...

I was going to have Art Fawcett fix this one up but decided to sell it as-is. Tagged a size 7 1/8 but it really is more like a true 7 (22 inches) Pre-1934 (United Hatters of North America) Mallory panama in the classic optimo block. Some soiling as seen in the photos but in good overall...
Looks more like a 1940's model than 30's. Most of the 1930's fedora styles command a brim less than 2.5" and didn't have bound brim edges.
Still, a fine looking hat (love the color combo).
