That hat is quite the beater, hats! I'm amazed that it's not vintage. Looks like it used to be a farm hand's lid from the '30s.
Thanks, Eric. I've been fortunate to take some time for myself lately. This retreat was a little more work than pleasure, but it was still nice to get some...
Wore the Borso again while on my church retreat. I only brought one hat. We went to Cohutta Springs. It's about 2 hours north of Atlanta. Beautiful trails, lake, camp sites, and amenities. Very peaceful.
Michael - Good lookin' VS. You have a nice collection of hats.
Denton - SUPER hat! I've never seen a Panamaburg before. The brim looks awesome. Wear it in good health.
case - You and Justin chose some cool caps today (yesterday). Nice one!
Alan - Nice furry wide brim. Great to show...
I bought a new Bailey Gangster model a little over a year ago for $75. 100% wool. It looked shabby after 4 months. I have 13 fedoras now, all fur felt and straw. I paid $75 or less for 10 of them, a little over $100 for 2 of them, and $180 for 1 custom.
All of my hats are above and beyond...
Thanks, Dave! It's still felt-worthy weather here, so I might do that tomorrow. The new job is really great; I'm very excited about it, and it's going really well so far. :thumb:
Great hats these past few days, everyone!! Jeff, Memphis, Perry, and Manfred, to name a few. I especially like that panama, Memphis!! :thumb: I haven't posted since I got back from my vacation, because I started a new job. Wore my Saks on Monday, the Champ Milan yesterday, and my Falcon...
That's pretty cool, Michael. My new boss seemed pretty interested in my Milan yesterday. He said, "I need to get myself one of these." Wasn't sure if he was serious, but I told him I would gladly help him find something his speed.
I wanted to wear a hat the first day, regardless; I wasn't scared to wear it. I'm very confident to wear my hats indoors and outdoors, dressy or casual, and I usually take them off when I walk into a room. Though I'm very confident to wear my hats, I'm also very considerate of my workplace and...
Just got a new 7 1/4 flange! It was an ebay purchase for $55!! However, I'm a little concerned, because the seller had refinished it with a furniture stain. :eeek:
The condition of the flange itself is terrific. But it has an obvious odor and I'm afraid the stain will rub off on the hat...
Thanks for your thoughts, everyone. I felt confident enough to wear it to the interviews, so I will continue that confidence in to the lobby!
Everyone loved seeing my hats at GHT. They were even gracious enough to let me ship new hats there, always curious when the next one was coming. :) I...
After 11 years at Georgia Home Theater I'm moving on with another company, leaving on very good terms. I'm curious whether to wear a hat for my first day tomorrow with the new company or to wait a few days and settle in. I wore my hats almost every day to GHT. When I got in, I removed my hat...
Thanks! Glad I didn't beat myself up too much over the Stetson hat. These two purchases made up for it in droves!! Though I already have a 7 1/4 block, I wanted the 1/8 so that I can get the creases out of certain hats without needing to remove the sweatband. We'll see how this works out...
