    New Aero Waistcoat (Vest?) Design

Thanks Handymike, I though that looked like a very convincingly aged hide... Personally (and I might be in a minority of one here), I'd prefer not to have the hide aged in this case and not to be the bullet proof FQHH variety as the pattern will be overwhelmed by it.

And you're stuck with it...no returns. It'll still sell though... Hmmm...the Nesbit (has a ring...)

    New Aero Waistcoat (Vest?) Design

Thanks Scott. I'll be interested to see how that distressing looks in good light. Bit of a tightrope and easy to get wrong. The early Good Wear cape split opinion down the middle and although my .50 cal works, the early ELC timeworn was a bit hit and miss. The LVC washed goat that I have seems...

That pocket surface grain looks like goat, but the rest less so. What is the hide, anyone?

    New Aero Waistcoat (Vest?) Design

I like that one. Van...? I like that one ;-) It's got a fine 30s vibe going on. Might be tempted in the right hide at the right price... What's the link with the OP waistcoat? Is this not more akin to a Cossack or Heron?

Naive question, but is that 'production allotment' the norm? I know that this often occurs on EBay when a buyer chooses not to ship to particular destinations, but is a supplier entitled to prohibit sales to buyers from other continents? In the UK it would be unusual.

LVC Menlo Cossack washed goatskin (XL, 2008)

Thanks Boyo, I've bought/sold a lot recently to get to a stable collection of regular, daily jackets. I had some beautiful jackets (e.g. my Links Irvin, G&F M-422A, or near mint Doniger/McGregor A-2) that I simply wasn't using enough. Now, these span the seasons and with an ELC B-15 for the...

LVC Menlo Cossack washed goatskin (XL, 2008)

Thanks Bret This one is from the 2008 season (although it's been released in pale tan sheepskin, which I also like, and most recently brown steer, which I sold about a week ago). John Lever has an identical one - I was really taken with the goat of his jacket and determined to track one down...

Comparison of Type A-1 jackets (GW and ELC .50 Cal)

Some additional shots wearing the .50cal A-1 following the collar surgery. A quick comparison with some other 1920s/1930s buttoned jackets.

Here it is alongside a couple of other 1920s/1930s styled buttoned jackets .

LVC Menlo Cossack washed goatskin (XL, 2008)

Here are some images of the goatskin version of the LVC Menlo Cossack (from the 2008 season) that I bought recently following the sale of my steerhide version. The latter (now in France) was just a bit on the heavy side for me (although it is a supple hide). This is the washed russet goat...

Pre- WW2 Wool A-1 Spearhead Militaria

The Japanese jacket looks like it was based on my LVC Menlo Cossack (also posted here today).

This is a grey/green (almost a feldgrau) - very practical.

Pre- WW2 Wool A-1 Spearhead Militaria

Thanks. E-mail Barry Lyndon through the Spearhead EBay store. I found him really helpful. My 44 wasn't listed, but he pulled one out of stock. I'd ask about longer arms as it might be something he can cater for. Good luck! Ian
