Thanks Handymike, I though that looked like a very convincingly aged hide...
Personally (and I might be in a minority of one here), I'd prefer not to have the hide aged in this case and not to be the bullet proof FQHH variety as the pattern will be overwhelmed by it.
Thanks Scott. I'll be interested to see how that distressing looks in good light. Bit of a tightrope and easy to get wrong. The early Good Wear cape split opinion down the middle and although my .50 cal works, the early ELC timeworn was a bit hit and miss.
The LVC washed goat that I have seems...
I like that one.
Van...?
I like that one ;-)
It's got a fine 30s vibe going on.
Might be tempted in the right hide at the right price...
What's the link with the OP waistcoat? Is this not more akin to a Cossack or Heron?
Naive question, but is that 'production allotment' the norm?
I know that this often occurs on EBay when a buyer chooses not to ship to particular destinations, but is a supplier entitled to prohibit sales to buyers from other continents?

Here are some images of the goatskin version of the LVC Menlo Cossack (from the 2008 season) that I bought recently following the sale of my steerhide version. The latter (now in France) was just a bit on the heavy side for me (although it is a supple hide).
This is the washed russet goat...
Thanks. E-mail Barry Lyndon through the Spearhead EBay store. I found him really helpful. My 44 wasn't listed, but he pulled one out of stock. I'd ask about longer arms as it might be something he can cater for.
Good luck!
Ian
