Carrie (Thurston's) can fit anyone...and "custom" isn't always more expensive with her if optioned correctly. Will it take a while? Welcome to life in Covid-Era.
I've done a few jackets through her customer vs. off the Rack (6'1" and 195 lbs) but I have a pretty specific fit, it's much...
^^ This information is quite useful, My IR is almost too short in the front. However I love thicker leathers, so I cannot be in full agreement on that statement.

Totally agree Mendel - this was an astonishing thing to see done to what appears to be an Original J24 Buco. Real shame.
Maybe an old Wilson's/Bermans, but even that I would cringe doing it...
Totally agree. Based off this chart, I would fall between a "40" and a "42". Odd even more that the back length goes up 1.25" between a 40 and a 42 - from 25.75 to 27"!! Yet the sleeve length only goes from 25.25 to 25.5" The shoulder goes from 19.25 to 20.25" which is not that much, but as...
Ok this is not a deal, but it's a confusing ebay add for "Real McCoys" Buco J24 replica. However the jacket to my un-trained eyes looks like an Original Buco J24. Unless it's been artificially aged, which given the state of it, could be. Will need a zipper too.
*Please be aware - this jacket...
I realized I never update this thread to include the jacket Aero made for me. This is a unique one, it's a one-off in CXL FQHH, which they will not do again. They prefer to use Vicenza for this pattern. Here's a few shots of mine, which has only minimal wear on it at this point.
Forgot to say - Welcome to FL! Hope this is a useful & informative place for you.
Meanwhile, you may enjoy this thread -- pretty informative how Aero did thier reproduction based a lot off one FL member's IR...
If you ever decide on one of these PNW makers to try a pair - be sure to use the Boot fit Process 1/2 to 1.0 full size down from your brannock is nearly spot on. Red Wing IR's I'm a 12D all day long -- not these, as my feet have reminded me.
So I have never owned either of these, and at the price point I doubt very much I ever will.
That said, I give a slight nod to The Flat Head as it has a slightly more "Rocker" or "Biker" look and I happen to like the upper western "V" yoke on the back. There can be construction "character" in...
Actually Wardo -- that's the issue here!
I returned with this pair to "Doing it wrong!" In White's / Nicks I am closer to a 11C or even 10.5D. Thought I could make these work -- no go!
Did you see the Nicks 11.5C ? Those any closer?
Up for sale a pair of White's I really wish fit me better. These are 12D Chromexcel Steerhide Black Bounty Hunter's. The CXL Steerhide is already showing signs of some teacore effect, these will break in well with lots of brown undertones.
Only tried on in my house - never outside.

I really don't think anyone here will mind.
Don't undersell yourself, or the jacket, or the intrest in such a jacket. :)
The Buco J24 is indeed a one of a kind jacket, that is highly sought after today and copied/re-copied over and over. Too many times to count.
There is a reason why...
