I can wear a 7 1/2 XLO as well as a 7 5/8 LO. All of my Akubras, Fed4, 5 Campdrafts, Boss of the Plains, are all 61's. The reason the smaller size LO felt the same is you feel the pressure more on the front & back of your head than the sides. With new Akubras I'd get the 58, especially if it... -

But the 'pokes were thinking "plow boy"... I'm in & out of western/feed/tractor supply stores all the time, sometimes from the ranch, sometimes from the office. NEVER have I felt like a city boy, more rancher/breeder than working hand/rider, sure, but never a city boy... -

Western store may be your best bet. Stetson does not do Long Oval & XLong Oval anymore but some other hat companies still do = Atwood, Rodeo King, American Hat Co., etc. -
