And getting some business from "this place" he has! I don't think it was this thread, but in a thread a little over a year ago, I wrote about Paul fixing an Illinois pocket watch I have. I definitely recommend him, and plan on using him for other watch repair jobs I may have in the future.
I use a coat rack to display around eight of my hats at a time, and I generally rotate hats out depending on the season.
These aren't all my hats though. I have a few I keep on a shelf by my bed, and of course, there are hats stored in my closet.
I agree with the others. Go back and get a refund. I hope it was only a naive salesperson, and that you weren't knowingly deceived.
lol
Thanks for sharing that Caity Lynn; I love that show!
I'm normally not too wild about long-fur hats, but I actually really like that one! Glad you're enjoying it HatHead!
That one looks sharp on you Stealthboy!
Adrian,
I'm sorry for your loss, and I agree that heartfelt words are the best in a time like this. No one ever knows what to say when a loved one dies.
When I was 20, my best friend from high school died of Leukemia at the age of 19. She had been diagnosed just over a year prior...
Welcome to the Lounge LordTarl. That Dobbs is simply gorgeous; thanks for sharing pics with us!
And if you're looking for someone to track down your old "friend" who ran off with your hat...I charge $200 a day and expenses... :D lol
I can't really help you with the details on aging your "new" radio, Bustercat. But just wanted to say thanks for posting it! I too get a kick out of being able to listen to old time radio on a classic tube radio, and I like to see others' setups as well. :eusa_clap
Also, I think $5 was a...
I agree with what the others have said here. Most of my hats (not just my Akubra) sit around one finger width above my ears. A few of my hats seem to be a bit closer to touching my ears, although that may be because I feel I have slightly larger than average ears. :eusa_doh:
Either way...
This is a great story. I really like the website. The history of the theatre is very thorough, and the pictures showing the theatre's evolution through time is amazing!
Gene, that Champ looks great! It sure is fun when you can find great hats that fit you in antique stores. You just can't pass them up if they fit you.
That Penny's Marathon looks great on you Unitone! :eusa_clap
I'd love to be on the set of some old time radio shows and movies. I love the meager collection of bloopers I've seen and heard from these entertainment mediums and would love to have more.
I suppose there could be other forums elsewhere with more information on those eras. Still, I think the FL still has a decent number of threads. I'd consider anything from the turn of the century to the 1960's here fair game.
