I saw this one two days ago, and I believe I enjoyed it a little more than I was expecting to. I did have high hopes for it from the beginning, but I wasn't sure what to make of the action scenes.
I must say that I truly love Robert Downey Jr's acting in all movies of his that I have seen...
Exactly. There's nothing overly complex about attaching diodes and conductors and such to a circuit board; the tricky part lies in steady hand movement and precise soldering. I've built a few different electronic kits over the years (all pretty easy for the most part), and the SSTran was the...
Welcome to the Lounge Karyl! You're in good company here.
I second what fluteplayer07 said about EBay and Art Fawcett. Ebay is an amazing resource, and I know more than a handful of Loungers have been able to occasionally pick up some great vintage hats for unbeatable prices.
I have a...
This is something I have thought about starting up for myself as well; although I have to wait until another important milestone in my life. The next possible ones would be accepting and starting Graduate school, or being hired for my first real job/career.
Interesting story. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you were able to get your hat back in the end. I can't say I've had any comparable experiences in that a hat changed my life. If ever one does, I'm sure I'll post it here.
That's my viewpoint.

Congrats Babydoll. Keep us all posted!
Welcome to the Lounge Mickey D!
Love those hat pictures; what are the two hats you're wearing? Any special stories on them?
I love that lighter and phone too. Very nice decor! :eusa_clap
Wow, somehow I missed this thread throughout the entire time I've been here at the Lounge, but I love this story. Your imagery is great Michaelson. You gave me chills, and I'm sitting here at home with a long sleeve drinking coffee!
This isn't quite a conversion story, as the recipient was already a hat wearer (although a wearer of the stingy "wal-mart style fedoras if I understand correctly).
I had a 1960's stingy brim Dobbs in my hat collection that was just a tiny bit too tight for me and had been looking for someone...
WHEW! You had me scared for a minute there!
This story is rather mild, but the only one I can think of at the moment. My second fedora was a Biltmore Bogart I had probably about five or six years ago. I was eating at a restaurant with my parents, and had my hat sitting on a spare seat at...
