I'm nearsighted as well. I too had a problem with my glasses giving me headaches and making me feel sick. I wore the glasses for a week to make sure it really was the glasses giving me issues.
I went back to the eye doctor, she rechecks my eyes and changed the Rx, going by my old eye glasses. I...
Grease sing a long. Complete with goodie bag of props to use during the movie. Plus prizes for people who came dressed like the people in the movie. I was a brunette Sandy :). It was so much FUN!
Great thread. I wonder how many people during WWII gave up meat and dairy to save money and ration points or did they also dabble in the blackmarket too and trade their dairy ration points for other items.
I remember a contestant on the Groucho Marks show said he was a vegetarian. Groucho asked...
There is nothing like a hankie. Beats a tissue every time. Your right about the ones sold at the vermont country store they are a great set of ladies hankies. If you are looking for a set of hankies to start off with I highly recommend the vermont contry store hankie.
When applying these lipsticks I used a lip brush to apply the lipstick. And I blotted my full lips reapplied, blotted my inner lips and reapplied. Which I learned made my lip stick stay on longer and did not smudge. I love wet N wilds 911D stoplight red and 519A hot red lipsticks. 911D goes on...

Most of the threads in the powder room and beauty forum focus on wonderful fashion (repo shoe and clothing web sites), make-up, and hair styles of the 1940s-1950s.
Yet, I do not see any threads on hair, make-up, and fashion of the 1960s.
I am adoring the early fashions of 1960-1964 but I...
PS
My hair is long to my shoulder blades and thin, corse, with a slight wave and I only use one set of link and curl hot rollers. I let them sit for 30 minutes to heat up. When I set my hair I also leave my rollers in for 30 minutes this way I know they are 100% cold when I take out my curlers. :)
