Can't do it. Pin curls aren't hard to do but holy moley do they frizz my hair something terrible! I brush and brush and it never gets any better. I eventually just have to soak my head and let it hang there. I look like an electrified poodle,

Have you tried undoing the pin curls and leaving them to fall naturally for a while (I find 20ish minutes helps) before brushing?

I have very thick hair and when I do a lot of pin curls for waves, it can take more than half an hour to finish brushing - and I don't have the time or arm strength for that! I find leaving it for a while first helps a lot.

I haven't tried that. They look fine until I brush them out, then it's frizzball city.
I used the pin curl doodad you sent me, that works well.

That happened to me the first time I pincurled my hair and it was years later when I decided to try pincurls again. I finally learned what I was doing wrong. I was rolling my pincurls to small and using plain bobby pins which I now know causes a lot of denting and frizz. The next time I tried pincurls I was not going to give up no matter how my hair turned out and I am glad I did not give up pincurls are now my favorite way to curl my hair. I have long thin corse wavy hair, to make sure I am not rolling my hair in small rolls I wrap my hair around my thumb not my finger to start the curl. And I use Conair straight bobby pins. I use the same brush that is being used in the video. Which is a denman brush, this is the only brush that will work for my hair when brushing out my curls. Denman is my favorite brush plus with this brush I find I am able to shape the curls better with out a lot of brushing and frizz.

I'm using the clips from Sally's, so it's not a dent problem. My hair is fine, thin, straight, and a bit coarse. Thank you for the videos, I'll take a look. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong!

I know what you mean! My first day sets are HORRIBLE lately. I'm not sure why, but it comes out half limp, half frizz ball. The first day is always a write off, at best I can salvage it with hot rollers. I've come to expect this so if I have an event to go to I'll make sure to set my hair two days before, and the first day I'll wear a ponytail or snood or some other fix. Then that night I set it DRY in large pin curls, about 12 or so and keep doing that. The following days work out quite nicely. I can't explain it, but maybe give that second day a shot and don't give up.
