Second try.
The way i understand it this is what is currently hapenning.
You buy from the UK, you get an invoice like this:
Clearly, Aero is charging you 662.50GBP, but they are paying 110.42GBP VAT, so they are making 552.08GBP on your sale.
If you buy from outside the UK, you will get an...
I don't understand how you can justifie this to yourself...
It's either Aero scamming people outside of the UK by not telling them they are keeping the value of the UK VAT for themselves, or it's Aero telling customers outside of the UK that they deserve to pay a 21% foreigner tax for ordering...
They do, if you order a jacket in the UK you get an invoice that shows VAT, if you order from outside of the UK you pay the same exact price but they just remove all mention of VAT and pocket the difference...
I agree with @Bat02 that it is not right, it is at best immoral, at worst illegal...
From Constantine: "your HD was made with remaining Peabody / Salem leather from alliance thet went down in flames"
Apparently the leather was hand finished/waxed by some dude called Mike, who had been doing that for them for 30 years or so. The guy was in his late 60s so he retired rather than...
They don't have acces to old X150 either, my HD Cycle champ bought last year was made with the last hides from that batch. The guy who was waxing/finishing it for them retired and that x150 is never coming back.
No idea what the new one is like.
How was communication with the seller?
It's crazy doorman, who spent weeks calling me daily to threaten me after i returned a jacket that wasn't as described.
I actually had to file a complaint to the police for him to stop.
I don't think i have it in me to ever buy something from him again...
Looks like their regular suede to me.
I see at lot more suede Vansons in Japan than anywhere else.
Never handled one, no idea what the suede is like in real life.
The jacket was not "altered" in the proper sens of the term, they literally just chopped of the lace holders with a stanley knife FCL style! (you can see the side of the cut edge in your last pic)
To me an "alteration" would have been to unstitch them and restitch the panels leaving no sign they...
It's not about seeing a Vanson, it's about trying one on and living with it.
If you did that you would throw all your Aeros out of the closet, i know i did.
Vansons might not have the best leather or the best stitching, but they are IMO some of the most comfortable/best patterns out there.
They...
Personally i do not think the excess material in the back and biceps is a problem if a LT design is sized correctly:
No pics of my LT/B yet, but it fits just as well as the one above...
Technically the Chevalier is also a LT design and it also doesn't have that problem:
I think the militarry just decided letters and numbers was the best way to deal with things and avoid confusion.
As you say, there is an A-1 and A-2, a B1, B2 and B3, a C1, a D1, a G1.
Basically different letters are different models, different numbers are different versions of a jacket serving...
I do my best to avoid number two in public bathrooms, so it's not a problem i think i have ever faced...
But if you are a public pooper i can see how the lack of hanging tab/hanging hook would be a problem.
Rude black is dyed grey before the black top coat is applied, when worn the grey will come though.
Vintage black is dyed brown before the black top coat is applied.
Blackjack is dyed reddish brown before the black top coat is applied.
Bassically the difference is what colour the "teacore...
Same, unless it is too hot to do so, or i will be doing something that might really damage leather, if i leave the house i wear a leather jacket.
Doesn't matter if i am going to the supermarket, going for a walk, cinema, restaurant, museum, whatever, makes no difference to me. I wore a leather...
