"suitable for chest" means the chest measurement of the person wearing the jacket.
"chest" is the measurement of the jacket, divide by 2 for pit to pit.
"hem" is the measurement of the bottom hem of the jacket, divide by 2 for side to side measurement.
The difference between pit and hem tells...
Not sure it was a mod, the storm cuffs are matching...
This is so weird i kinda want to see it for real.
Speaking of weird, i got this one:
It's actually a CHP that was modded, not an original Vanson design.
If it rains go out and walk in the rain.
If it doesn't fill a spray bottle and spray the outside of your jacket.
The key is rubbing it in and spraying every 15 minutes for a couple hours. Then wear it untill dry to the touch, or untill you are bored. It's not an exact science, no need to be...
In my experience, squeeking comes mostly from the pits, what works well is to smear a small amount of your favourite conditionner (i use pecards) in the pits area with a rag.
I don't usually put much, i just rub the greasy rag or brush that i use for that a couple times on the pits and it...
Weird question, is the person on the left the same person in the below picture?
I had a "deja-vu" impression but can't decide if that's the same person or not...
+1
My dad died last Christmas, he never did anything he enjoyed during his life, he never splurged on anything, for him spending money on anything that wasn't a necessity was stupid.
The only extravagent purchase he ever made was buying a Tesla Model 3, ordered it at 68, took delivery at 71...
Focusing too much on measurements and thinking all your jackets should have the same measurements is a classic mistake i made.
A cafe racer, a half belt, a cross zip and an overcoat should not all have the same pit to pit to fit you well, different jackets with different functions should have...
According to this interview there is no one to take over after Stuart and Fausto call it quits:

I wonder if he will end up selling the company at some point, or just keep it going untill they can't keep going...
Welcome to both of you.
Here is a thread i made a few years ago, it shows a bunch of fit pics, with a bunch of measurements, and my own measurements too. You can learn a lot from looking at them, i did.

I have gone from...
It's quite ironic considering SB's cafe racer pattern is the same as Aero and it is IMO a pretty horrible fit...
It's a classic "hang from the neck" pattern.
I thought the same thing and reread the OP:
"I will assign points for each entry, ie #1=3 points, #2=2 points, #3= 1 point. Then it will simply be a matter of adding up the points. I can add up individual jacket numbers, too. I'll probably end up with a "Top 10" brands."
So even though RD and I...
Thanks.
I'm really glad Stuart accepted to take on the challenge, i think they really nailed it.
You where wondering how BK could do jackets from pictures only, LW did it for this one.
I sent them ebay pics of three different jackets and that's all they had to go by.
Your looks great!
Not deer but moose, similar leather but thicker, more grain and matter finish. Colour is "evergreen" rather than "pine".
Not available anymore unfortunately, but it gives a good idea of what the deer is like.
Super soft and spongy, great drape, not great in the wet.
Edit: if op minds the...
There is also no mention of Stuart anywhere on the website.
It just says "our jackets", "our tannery", "our workshop"
And yes, without Fausto there would be no leather jackets, but without Stuart there would be no Lost Worlds.
Not every craftsman wants his face on the internet...
None, Stu takes care of the sales, jacket design, website, QC. He is also part owner of a tannery and deals with finding the hides, getting the leather to his spec, sourcing hardware, etc.
The LW "vision"/brand is his.
He has been working with the same pattern maker/cutter/machinist since the...
