When I was in the Corps at boarding school in my teenaged years, we often went camping in old and incredibly smelly canvas tents that frequently leaked. I would share with up to six other boys and sometimes a master in charge and would torment them by releasing the most atrocious farts!!! There...
... And this was meant to be my reply to Sonero: I was only half awake this morning.
That is very nice: I wonder if OKW will have a New Year sale. ...
[I'm wearing my black WP today!}
I have actually changed into an Air Force WP for this evening: two military sweaters in one day!
I meant to post the message below as a reply to Sheepdog149. Here it is again:
They really are very good - I often wear Navy blue although I have a wide choice of colours as I have so many of them!

Eugene Delouche from Martinique. Big star in Paris in his day and sings in Antillean Creole (Kweyol or Kreyol) which is quite similar to Haitian.
Yes, the sweaters are nice and thick but designed to 'breathe' nicely too so you can wear them on the go as well as sitting around. The best design from the aesthetic point of view and breathability is the traditional - as worn by sailors (including Royal Navy) for generations.

It certainly is: despite being an expert on OKW, I didn't know they were producing a Guernsey now. I've had one of mine for 20+ years as they are so rugged.
I love NYC.
Gamma68 has posted a very representative image of a traditional Guernsey. Needless to say I have one in that colour, which has an historical association with the Royal Navy, and I also have the New Natural (sometimes called Oatmeal) and Olive versions, both of which have Army...
San Diego is a well-known military town. I'd like to go there as I have heard nothing but good things about it. I have been to the Bay Area, Northern California and the Sierra Nevada, but your city is very much on my list. ...
You are clearly a man after my own heart as the British/Italian...
Congratulations! Are you new to the delights of Woolly Pullies ('Wooly' in US English, I know) or have you had them before? And, may I ask you what colours you chose?
Agreed entirely, but my point is that it is even longer than ‘normal’ British hip length. Yes, these sweaters are still issued by the Royal Navy to submariners.
I actually really like my Silverman's sub sweater. It's thick but very breathable wool and extremely durable: I think I've had mine well on 20 years now! One aspect of it is that because I am a large size it is very long, almost disproportionately so and so from the length point of view it can...
It does look very nice indeed and I have reserved it with Sportsman's Guide with a view to buying one (I'm also an XL!) later this month or early in the New Year.
Agree with both posts above. The interesting thing was that the competition could feel much more intense when playing for a House team against another House (the School was divided into Houses) than against another school. It was the same at university (divided into Colleges) with the difference...
It’s brilliant sweater weather and getting even better over the next week. You’ll be pleased to hear that I’ve worn my black commando sweater (aka Woolly Pully) quite a number of times this season. Air Force today!
