Thanks Dogman! I took it for a test drive today and got a lot of compliments, and more than a few looks.
Mayser...thank you for your posting. I am constantly on the lookout for vintage hats and would love to find a vintage hat similar to this one (in a 7 5/8 LO), but I think I am in for a...
Thanks bowlerman, I have always liked derbies, especially tall derbies. Speaking of which, I got this one in the mail today. When I have better lighting I will post more photos in the new hats forum . It's from River Junction, I got it in wool, but I'm going to be ordering another one...
Yesteryear, that's a great first bowler, it suits you.
Dogman, I like that tall derby, I have a Scala that is very similar to it.
Bowlerman, I agree with you that a derby/bowler should fit like a glove, but so far, I have found it is hard to get that perfect fit, especially with...
To be fair, they did have some decent brimmed fedoras towards the front including one three incher. I tried it on, but the brim was too big for me. (And it was probably too small for you Joao :) ) I really didn't do a good job taking photographs so I missed a portion of their stock
While visiting South Florida on vacation, I went to a small hat store in North Miami. It's called Hats and Hats and It has a pretty decent selection of lower end fedoras. I purchased three hats and I will post them in the new hats thread, when it get home. I'm sorry about the quality of the...

I had a new comment yesterday, I wore my brown Fed IV at the Hollywood section of Disney world after dinner...as a little boy was passing me, he said to his father "look, he's wearing Perry's hat". I thought it was probably his uncle perry or someone like that, My buddies wife told me he...
+1 to bowlerman's comments, great hats today. Wearing my stetson crushable Santa Fe in disneyworld this week, it really does a great job of folding up and resuming its shape after all the rides.

David, ditto on Mach's comment. I love the triple bow on that Tumwater.
Greg, that Cavanagh goes great with that suit. Even the sunglasses "go" with that hat. Good job!
Got this Stetson Derby in the mail yesterday. Of course, it doesn't fit my LO over-sized noggin and it needs a ton of work, but I am going to keep it anyways.
Lots of great hats everybody. Looks like a good week for Derbies! I just got this vintage Stetson Derby in the mail, I didn't realize how much TLC this one was going to require, plus it's 7 1/4 not 7 3/4.but I'm going to keep it anyway. :)
