Very interesting........you know.......I never even looked at the underside of the lid.......
AND........guess what??
So is this from Mayser then......one of thier reproductions?
Out and about Again, and I find this:
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE ARTWORK!!!!!!!
Now it is NOT a original Mayser Hat box.....It is either a fantasy box or a reproduction of a real Mayser box (hopefully Steve or someone will chime in as to what these boxes actually looked like). It is one of...
Yes......I am at 95% they will get to you, and .00017832% that either or both will be punti:(:(:(:(:( BUT...I still call "dibs" if they are!;);) If for no other reason than I like to say...."DIBS"!!:D
Awesome hats!!!!!
They could still show up.....I had a package that fell off the radar on November 1st last year.......it finally DID show up almost 4 months to the day later, on February 27th this year....with NO record of where it was all that time.
Yep...there is hope they both arrive...
It has been hotter than heck......this week!!!

I was not sure where to put this.....I found the article interesting (with the bias to women's hats not withstanding, we DO have shared hat history) !!!
https://confettissimo.com/en/fashion-style/accessories/history-of-the-creation-of-the-hat-interesting-fa.html
AND of course it does not hurt...
And here we have another I picked up at the same shop.....this hat is more traditional.........(I do wonder where the other two guys hats are.......perhaps he did not want to loose control of that awesome fedora.......while the other hats are in a pile off to the side).
I just had to pick up this Circa 1900 photo from Wisconsin......
While I DO like differant creases for my fedoras.........o_O

I think...
Oh, and that story about the sales girl.....well I really cringed......what the hell was she thinking......even on new hats.....the sizing strips go behind the sweat.....so....again....WTF was she on??? AND doing that to a vintage hat....well.....
That story needs to be promoted in some sticky...
And in my disappointment......I forgot to let you know what a very nice hat for a very reasonable price.......someone will be very pleased I am sure!! 2 5/8 brim is great for a fedora!
