    Why Don Draper IS Lounge

I love to watch Mad Men for both the 60s fashions and decor which I adore, as well as the storylines. I find fictional white collar psychopaths fascinating. If one is to misbehave on TV, it should be done stylishly and discreetly unlike most other shows today.

    Anxiety

I grew up in NYC and summertime used to make me very anxious for years; I didn't have air conditioning in my 16th floor apartment! It's one of the reasons I moved to Maine, so I can understand not liking the heat. I will send cool thoughts your way!

Do you really have monkeys on the streets? Yes, I am in Maine, and today is the first day of autumn. Cool and crisp air and the apples are ripe for picking! However it would be a too long trip for you. ;)

Maybe it's what you add to the eggs to scramble them. Anyway, should we dine together for breakfast, I will skip the chocolate croissants and you can have soft boiled eggs.

I agree with you that it's what's added to chocolate that contributes to it being "addictive." But for me, it gives me a headache, even the darker kind, which kind of wipes any big smile off of my face that I had while eating it. ;) Also, I do not like stimulants beyond a single cup of coffee in...

    Anxiety

Oh, yes. Yes yes. The media, experts, and people I don't know know what's best for me. <--That's when I was my most anxious.

    Anxiety

Chocolate is a stimulant and addictive. Giving it up was one of the greatest things I've ever done. I'm much calmer without it.

Not to mention GREAT Motown came out in the 70s!

    Anxiety

I used to suffer from both GAD and sometimes panic attacks. There are two things that have helped me: Cognitive-behavioral interventions which you can find via a CBT therapist and/or reading related books, and self-acceptance.

Are you serious? How about the Rolling Stones?! I LOVE 70s music!

This is serious!! :eeek: Skinny jeans on men are a visual assault.

Aging beautifully and gracefully, then vs now: Who did it better?

If I was single and on the prowl and was referred to as a "cougar" I'd give the guy a good smack. But he'd probably like it. ;)

What was a girl from Rockland doing in uptown NYC at night?

"Toffee-nosed" is a new word to me! It's great! Sadly, the rest is accurate. You forgot Maine souvenirs made in China.

Aging beautifully and gracefully, then vs now: Who did it better?

Those aren't my words as far as how I define it; I was using the terms offered by mainstream culture.
