I haven't been to Paris for 20 years now, but I remember that it was definitely style-conscious to the degree that the very worst excesses of the 80's in men's fashion were EVERYWHERE, because that was what was up-to-the-minute at the time...but it was ghastly, a lot more gaudy and...
foxhole ergonomics
Much as I would love to own one of these things for aesthetic reasons, it's impossible in this country without an incredible amount of bureaucracy, anyway, what I'd like to know is, does the drum mag refill? Previous posts discussed the efficency of the simpler magazines for...
leprechauns
I've got a green suit that copes very well with brown shoes! But the rule is pretty solid otherwise, and remember, only one pattern at a time.

Sorry about the late reply but sometimes you forget some posts and don't go back, the Empire Annual is one of those classic British Boy's books of the 1st 1/2 of the 20th C. I have quite a few, they are full of dashing hero stories of chaps against savage...
Look I can't help myself, but without giving a link, if you want a good chuckle go to the WKAH and search for "A1 pearl harbor nose art"..some people will try anything.

I see lots of tips here about stretching hats to larger sizes, what about the reverse?
The Bogart I just scored (you can see in the other thread) is just too big even with foam inside the lining; it just don't sit right.
I'm going to just wet it and put it in the sun for want of a better...
fitting
The store is a "bush outfitter's" so boots and clothes are also on sale, but anyway, I got the hat, in exchange for a total beater I had given up on, the only problem is it's about 3 sizes too big, it's an AKUBRA BOGART, and as you see in the photos, the nail hole ain't that bad, I'm...
rust in the dust
It's a thing with the bushies, they take great pride in how beat-up their hat is, a fashion statement in fact. It's the same with Drizabones, it shows you're a dinkum bushman not some weekend farmer.
