nice. good fit in the body, but yeah, you need a couple more inches on the back and sides. Although that looks like a good front drop position.
I always see this ad on here with this pic. If my incoming Schotts fit like this, I'll be pretty happy. Although this guy is entering epic...
Superb. Thedi #1 in my book right now. Wish his bottom hem was little more snug, but everything else is top notch. Love the little flare he has here and there in the details and hardware.
Check out the schott is674 and the various offspring--184 and 174. They have hand warmer slots as well. So you get the look but more function from them. It's probably more G1 than A2, but has elements of both.
My issue is more about the potato sack torso. I think this can be helped with...
I've got 2 vintage Schott A2ish jackets enroute. We'll see. Got them cheap so low risk. Every once in awhile I see a pic of someone wearing it well and I dream lol. But most times it ain't probably going to crack my rotation. Those higher end ones like Eastman, rmc, etc. Sure do look great...
so tempting. But I think will be big for me. On paper it's just about perfect, but there's something about the Thedi dimensions that fit big. Unless this particular model fits small, I'm a large in my other Thedis.
man, I didn't want to start watching his other videos because I know, days will go by LOL.
I almost wanted to put in comments "you know that's a $100 jacket right". But I understand it has lots of sentimental value to the owner. Crazy how many states and countries it's been in plus it also...
I remember when this one popped up last time. Really nice. Has a Lewis Leathers kind of vibe to it. I'm looking for the D Pocket one with similar type specs so I'll pass, but GLWS.
yikes!!!! Well I just sent a note to him. I'll keep you posted. Obviously there's a point of diminishing returns here. It's definitely a nice to have. There's some trusted vendors that can probably pull it off, but obviously would love to get from Thedi since it has all the cool hardware...
thanks for the extra info. Now that I see the close ups, actually the leather is pretty close. And also knowing you're about 5'9 makes sense. I'm 6'0, so maybe the jackets are not that far apart actually. And I'm pretty sure mine has the same zipper. So I feel pretty confident saying that's...
Stumbled onto this via the Youtube algorhythms.
Lots of interesting info and technique about jacket build, how to repair, etc. In this case an old Brooks jacket.

another beauty. Wow. Trifecta today LOL
Just realized I pretty much have the same jacket but with a beige collar and different hardware. I love how that brown looks though. Going to reach out to them to just order an extra collar. Really gives the jacket a whole other look. Stealing your...
Very nice. Do you know what ID number or year that was made? I have one before they starting using ID numbers but after the old white label, so I'm guessing early 1980s. The leather seems a little different too and mine seems on the shorter side, although I'm just guessing since I don't know...
After they got the LAPD contract. I think it was late 40's or early 50s. I think I mentioned in a post somewhere, maybe in this thread or somewhere else where we were talking about Cal Leathers history.
From what Gwen told me, don't know how rigid it is, but for the newer jackets they were...
dipping my toes into the military rabbit hole. Although starting slow and cheap. Grabbed a couple older Schott designs, probably not true to military spec, but that ain't my hot button, so no biggie. Going to see how the combined shipping vs. individual works out, but pricing will end up...
