Must be a young person thing, the bump.
Never offered nor had anyone offer anything other than a straight handshake on meeting them, either initially or later.
Now why didn't I think of that? Wait - I did. No response from them after a couple of weeks.
I'm still curious whether or not anyone else who ordered this special run has received their hat.

About 25 years ago I went bald on the top of my head, or at least so close to bald that I just shaved what was left there off. I keep the sides very short. All I really need for a hair cut is to run the clippers over what's left with a quarter inch comb.
The last time I set foot in...
It's funny how our memories work. I can't remember anything at all about where I got my hair cut as a teenager after we move from Virginia to North Carolina. But I can close my eyes and still see the barber shop I went to in the second grade back in ~1954.
It was across the street from my...
My son treated his Mom and I to dinner at Maggianno's on Mother's Day. The only ties in the place were on the wait staff. Shorts and flip flops were everywhere. And it wasn't even warm enough that day for shorts.
While I guess it's possible that the 20-40 year old crowd will start dressing better I'd not hold out much hope for that based on a NYT article, at least not outside of some small pockets in NYC. I truly don't believe any but a very small minority of that age group can be bothered to wear more...
I don't own any video games or the consoles to play them on. I have owned some in the past, but eventually grew bored with them and now it seems that I always have something I'd rather be doing than sitting in front of TV playing games.
If you had prior knowledge of what was going to happen in WWII, and you ran your mouth, probably one of two things would happen. You'd be thought to be a spy since you knew things classified (like where and when D-Day was going to happen). Or maybe a Section 8 looney. Either way, it would be...
No problems. Before I became a computer programmer I was an electronics technician and I could just go back to repairing tube radios. Repairing 1930's era appliances - can do. Guess I'd just open up that radio and appliance repair shop I always wanted.
I don't have any input on restoring a hat band that came to you already dried out or rotted, but I'd think that a hat you bought new and wore fairly often just wouldn't get into that condition because the oils in your skin would transfer to the hat band, preventing it from ever drying out.
A...
Thanks for the info. So, smaller than a Campdraft but looks (in the picture) to be slightly taller in the crown (maybe 1/2 inch) compared to the modern Stratoliner?
Oh well, with my second Campdraft on the way (green), a couple of Open Roads, a Moose River and a new Stratoliner (all...
