I've got a Kimber Pro Carry CDP and it's a nice gun and relatively easy to carry but I think that I would rather have an honest full size Colt or one like your pre-war.
Figured my post would generate at least one typical BS response. Exactly why we should never forget Pearl Harbor without white washing by those who don't want anyone to be offended.
I'll not take this any further, but only out of respect for those who died on Devember 7th.
The Japanese army was undoubtedly one of the most cruel and barbaric of all time. Barbarism toward non combatants? The rape and murder women and children of Nanking, the forced suicides of Japanese citizens on Okinawa come to mind. Japan kicked the wrong dog on December 7th and hell followed...
Thanks Clyde. Just got back from a week in northern MI with that little G&H and deer hunting will never be the same. My "go-to" rifle has always been a 30-06 pre-64 M70 but carrying that little sporter is just sublime.
I should also mention that I have another pre-64 M70 chambered in 300...
I've watched every episode but I am starting to grow weary of the sex. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude but I think the show almost features that stuff when it should be incidental to the plot/story. The violence, I can understand but not the sex which seems to be there primarily to satisfy...
DeCaprio would not be a bad choice but I think there are so many other young actors that could pull off the roll. How about Joseph Gordon Levitt? Younger and he seem to have more of an air of vulnerability.
Sending USPS they cap insurable value at $650. Write on the outside of the box (EVERY side). Returning goods for repair. Make sure you also indicate that on the customs forms. Keep in mind, the people processing the package are only slightly more capable (read intelligent) as your average...
Somethings should never be touched and the Thin Man is one of them. When you really consider the films it wasn't Powell or Loy that made the movies so memorable, it was the way they played together and off of each other. That "chemistry" was organic and completely natural. No matter who they...
Here's an early Griffin& Howe sporter in 7x57 (7mm Mauser) built on a Springfield 1903 action and topped with the classic Lyman 48 peep sight. Certainly not an "express" rifle and not a big bore but the lines are classic and a well placed shot from a 7mm will stop pretty much anything and there...
There are a handful of stories about the origin of "Hoosier." However, the most reasonable is that back in the 1800's there was a lumberman named Hoosier who cut timber throughout southern Indiana. His men, who had the reputation of being tough men, were referred to as Hoosiers men, which was...
45-70 is not bad to shoot. It gives more of a push than a punch. I've shot a lot of old Winchester lever guns and found the recoil from a 45-70 to be more like a 12 ga field load than a heavy rifle.
I doubt it covers duty. I was charged duty in error when they shipped my jacket back after making repairs - it was approx $69.00. You'll pay duty when you take delivery of your jacket.
