does anyone have any experience with this Yorkshire Trouser maker. The sizing guide tells me they'll work with leather jackets - they've got a good rise

Your wife points out that you have 3 Aero Highwayman, so you try to persuade her it's ok because one is lightweight one is mediumweight and one heavyweight and you are prepared for any weather!
I've had several but have continuously upgraded after research until I finally managed to buy a 201k electric (outside motor) portable cheaply. This model was the pinnacle of Singer domestics and is often referred to on sale sites as a semi-industrial because it will sew practically any material...
Great hats for extreme cold conditions. I brought one back from a street market in Prague a few years ago and wore it occasionally when it was sub-zero outside as that's about the only time it was comfortable. I gave it to a friend who runs a recycling centre and has to work outside all year round.
Bad luck to get infested with all those things - glad you're better. Makes me think twice about visiting certain places.
I'm sure I read somewhere that some people were actually getting infested deliberately - they were experimenting with using tapeworms to cure allergies and also help them...
My new (2nd hand but near mint) Buzz Ricksons L2a - sadly the previous owner has replaced the Crown with a modern plastic Opti zipper. I intend to sort this with a modern #5 track and a wartime Crown size 5 puller I got from eBay. Fortunately the Talon on the sleeve is still present...
Sheffield - Yorkshire England UK, and we are blessed with several retro clothing shops eg - Cow Vintage, New Shop, Freshmans, Mooch Vintage and notably Jojo's General Store. In addition there are frequent vintage clothing fairs eg Lulu's. I strongly suspect that this rich source is fuelled by a...

I've done a bit of research and they are also similar to paratrooper gloves and tanker gloves but so far so haven't found any with the wartime Newey poppers/press studs attached.
Hi Everyone,
I picked these up today cheap - worth a punt as they resembled the 1942 pattern USAAF officers flight gloves sold by Eastman. Any help ref identification will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance

A Lewis Leather Viscount jacket for £35 in a charity shop. Both labels were missing but it shouted quality and style. I later found stitching in a small oval shape on the arm so sent pics to Lewis Leathers who confirmed it was indeed a Lewis Viscount. Sadly it's a little too small for me (it's...
Only wear premium second hand shoes as on a simple risk assessment - if the previous owner could afford them he could afford medication and good personal hygiene.
Inspired by this thread some time ago before it popped up again, I finally found a 44" and I bought it. I had to do a bit of darning, bind the cuffs and replace the zipper (the Talon was shot and so I fitted a brass Conmar)...
